Dominique Inez Bourgeois

May 2, 1990 - March 19, 2019

Dominique Inez Bourgeois (née Robles) of Dallas, Texas, passed away on March 19, 2019, at the young age of 28. She was born on May 2, 1990, to Doyle and Sharla Robles (née Newman) in San Angelo, Texas. Dominique attended Hays High School where she competed in pole vaulting and cheerleading. She graduated from Texas A&M University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Education. Dominique and the love of her life, Nick, met while studying at Texas A&M and they married on June 11, 2016, in Buda, Texas. She was a 2nd grade teacher and Team Leader at Richardson ISD where she was honored with the Kindness Award and the Courage & Bravery Award. She loved all of her students and dedicated her life to them. Dominique had an adventurous, spitfire personality and loved to travel. She was an avid music lover and enjoyed dancing. Dominique wanted nothing more in life than to be a mother and she realized that precious dream with the birth of her son, Liam Doyle Bourgeois. She was a fighter who touched the lives of everyone she met.

Dominique is survived by her loving husband, Nick Bourgeois; her son, Liam Doyle Bourgeois, both of Dallas, Texas; her parents, Doyle and Sharla of Buda, Texas; her sister, Maci Robles of Austin, Texas; her grandfather, Charlie Robles of Eden, Texas; her grandmother, Marsha Newman; and countless other loving family and friends including her beloved pup, Cooper.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Imon and Billie Newman and Estella Robles; and her cousin, Alida Robles.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 25, 2019, at Turrentine Jackson Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.

There are no words for yours, Doyles and Maci’s loss. Just know, she will never be forgotten. I still remember lighting the luminaria for her at Relay For Life and prayed this day would never come. Anita Theriot , May 5, 2019 I do remember so vividly Dominque in junior high when I would take her and Kody to pole vaulting lessons. She was so brave. She never flinched. It was a pleasure to have her at my home. In high school she was so athletic as a cheerleader and so very special as a person. My heart breaks for her family. The world has a small hole as a result of her passing. I pray for little Liam and all of the family. Love to all. Sandy Smith and Kody, March 28, 2019 I'm class of '84. I read about Dominique on Texags, and her story touched me deeply. There's absolutely no amount of writing that will assuage your grief, but know others in the Aggie community share your sorrow. God Bless you, and hold on to your faith. HAGAN SANTERRE, March 27, 2019 Our entire church congregation was stunned and deeply saddened at the announcement Sunday of your loss of Dominique. The prayer blankets we sent you were prayed & wept over. We hope they are a small measure of comfort to you. What a tragic loss.
