Dolores Rodriguez

Dolores (Vasquez) Rodriguez, a resident of McKinney, Texas, passed away March 16, 2026 at the age of 86.  She was born on November 14, 1939, to her loving parents, Felipe Vasquez and Maria (Anguiano) Vasquez in Buckholts, Texas. 

Dolores graduated from Lubbock Cooper High School in Lubbock, Texas, and went on to build a dedicated career as a line technician with Texas Instruments.

On December 24, 1960, she married the love of her life, Moises Rodriguez, and together they built a life centered on love and family. They were blessed with two children, Norma and Noe, who remained a constant source of pride and joy throughout her life. Her beloved husband preceded her in death in 2007.

Dolores found great joy in serving others and staying active in her community. She was especially involved with the Maggie Trejo Senior Citizens Center in Lubbock, where she formed many meaningful friendships. Known for her lively spirit, she was an avid balloon volleyball player and rarely missed a chance to join in a game. She also generously shared her time and talents by helping with cosmetology services at the center, bringing smiles and confidence to those around her. 

Dolores is survived by her children, Norma Mendoza of McKinney, Texas, and Noe Rodriguez (Judy) of Lubbock, Texas; sister, Juanita Robles of Allen, Texas; grandchildren, Jon Paul Mendoza (Brittney) of Princeton, Texas, Amanda Rodriguez (Rick) of Lubbock, Texas, Ashleigh Rodriguez (Adrian) of Lubbock, Texas, and Ian Rodriguez  (Valeria) of Lubbock, Texas;  niece, Sandra Robles of Allen, Texas; honorary grandson, Eric Flores of Lubbock, Texas; and a host of extended family members and friends, who will miss her and cherish her memory.

Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Moises Rodriguez, parents, Felipe and Maria Vasquez, and siblings, Manuel Vasquez, Geneva Vasquez, and Jesus Vasquez.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 10, 2026, at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park, 15602 TX-493 Loop, Lubbock, TX  79423.
