Diane K. "Dee Dee" (Judah) Stem

Diane Kay Stem of McKinney, Texas, passed away on November 8, 2025, at the age of 81. She was born on January 25, 1944, in Three Rivers, Michigan, to Garwood and Beatrice Eileen (Roberts) Judah.

Diane graduated from South Bend Central High School in South Bend, Indiana, with the Class of 1962. She went on to attend Indiana University in Bloomington before beginning a long career as an Administrative and Human Relations officer for the United States government.  Among her many postings, she served in Kenya, Nigeria, Burundi, Tunisia, and Denmark, as well as Washington, D.C.

In February of 2003, Diane married Anthony Denton Stem in Arlington, Virginia, and together they shared many wonderful years.

Diane enjoyed decorating her home, watching tennis and football, and reading biographies, with a particular fondness for those about Theodore Roosevelt. Her love of travel took her across the globe to Scotland, England, Wales, Austria, Germany, Denmark, Slovenia, and Sweden. Of all her adventures, Scotland held a special place in her heart, where she spent ten summers in a row.

Diane is survived by her husband, Col. Anthony D. Stem of McKinney, Texas; son, Alexander K. Stem and wife, Wendy of Denton, Texas; son, Adam P. Stem of Aubrey, Texas; grandchildren, Abigail, Sarah, and Hunter; sister, Candace Butler of South Bend, Indiana; brother, Gregory Judah of Plano, Texas; and numerous other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Garwood and Beatrice Judah.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 14, 2025 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The service will also be live streamed at the following link: https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/diane-k-dee-dee-judah-stem. Interment will be held at Ridgeview Memorial Park following the service.

The family will receive guests for a visitation from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursday evening at the funeral home.
