Diana Buckles

April 29, 1943 - April 27, 2013

Plano, TX-Diana Buckles, beloved wife, mother, nana, and friend passed away April 27, 2013 at the age of 69.  She was born April 29, 1943 to Clara and James French in Bakersfield, California.  Diana married Dr. Robert L. Buckles on July 24, 1971 in Yosemite National Park.    

A devoted wife, mother, and nana, she was always available to listen and help others with their problems.  Although playing the piano was her true passion, she was an accountant by profession.  There was not a single task she took on that she did not master with grace.  Her proudest accomplishment being her family.  

Diana is survived by her husband, Dr. Robert L. Buckles of Plano, Texas; daughter, Pamela M. Creel and husband Jason of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Michaela and Lawson Creel; nephew, Ron French, Jr. of Phoenix, Arizona and a host of other loving family and friends.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, James French and Clara French Leonard; stepfather, Daniel Leonard; and brothers, Ron Sr. and Michael French.   

A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 3, 2013 at Custer Road United Methodist Church, 6601 Custer Road, Plano, Texas 75023. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home in Allen at their convenience on Thursday, May 2, 2013 to pay their respect and to sign the register book.

Dr. Buckles, we were saddened to learn about your wife. With sincere sympathy, James and Paula Sturrock, May 3, 2013 I was very saddened to hear about Diana's passng at such a young age. We shared so many memories of our beautiful daughters in highschool and becoming young adults. She will be missed greatly by everyone who was touched by her being in their life.
