Our beloved Diana passed from this life on September 18, 2021 due to illness. She was and is the light of our lives.
Diana was a teacher at The Ark Adventure Preschool in Plano. Children were her passion. Being with them and her fellow teachers brought her great joy, pleasure and pride.
She has been resident of Plano since 1994.
Diana was born in March of 1953, in Groom, Texas to Tom and Doris Britten. One of six children, she is survived by her husband, Robert of the home; son, Lt Col R T Davenport and wife, Elizabeth; grandson, Michael; granddaughter, Kayleigh, all of Kaiserslautern, Germany; mother, Doris Britten of Amarillo; brother, Ron Britten of Cheyenne,Wyoming; sisters, Janice Williams and Sharon Wilhelm, both of Amarillo Texas, Patricia Britten Hainer of Buda , Texas, and Connie Britten of Plano Texas; many nieces, nephews, other loving family, and great friends.
Diana’s greatest joy and pleasure came from her family most especially her beloved grandchildren. Nothing could compare with her time with them.
She was and remains her family’s greatest joy. Diana will be greatly missed, and always loved by those whose lives she touched.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 24, 2021 at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, 1914 Ridgeview Drive, Allen, Texas 75013.
The family will receive family and friends during a visitation on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. Rosary service to begin at 6:30 p.m.
The family requests that memorial donations be made in Diana’s honor to The Ark Adventure Preschool and the T Boone Pickens Hospice Center to be considered.
