Dexter Lee Clemens

Dexter Lee Clemens, age 84, of Celina, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2021.  He was born on April 21, 1937, in Whittier, California, to Ruby May (Purser) and Vernon Harry Clemens.  Dexter proudly served his country in the United States Army.  He earned his associate’s degree from College of the Sequoias and his bachelor’s degree from Fresno State University.  Dexter had a successful career in Civil Engineering as a Photogrammetrist.  He married the love of his life, Georgia Ray Patnott, on June 30, 1964, in Oakland, California, and they were blessed with two sons.  He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

Dexter is survived by his beloved wife, Georgia Clemens of Celina, TX; his sons, William Clemens and his wife, Michelle, of Gunter, TX, and Vince Clemens and his wife, CeCe, of Houston, TX; his grandchildren, Jonathan (Seiko) Clemens of Fayetteville, NC, Brandon Clemens of Oroville, CA, Berlin Clemens of Houston, TX, Zachary Clemens of Gunter, TX, Samaria Clemens of  Houston, TX, and Katherine Clemens of Gunter, TX; his step-granddaughter, Vanessa White of Livingston, TX; three (3) great-grandchildren; his brother, Vernon (Marilyn) Clemens of Victorville, CA; his brother and sister-in-law, Lulia (Donald) Furness of Big Bear, CA, and John (Phyllis) Patnott of Holland, MI.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Ruby Clemens.

A funeral service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 970 Coit Road, Prosper, Texas, at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 4, 2021, with a visitation beginning one hour prior at 9:00 a.m.  Bishop Scott Jensen will officiate.  Interment to follow at Old Celina Cemetery.
