Dennis Stephen Taylor went to the Lord May 26, 2005. Dennis was born in Santa Rosa, California on September 27, 1943 to John Spurlin Taylor (deceased) and Betty McClure Taylor. Dennis was a Registered Pharmacist certified in compounding and was Chairman-Elect of the Compounding Academy of Texas Pharmacy Association. Following graduation from the University of Oklahoma in 1966, Dennis moved to Dallas. He married Claudia Endres Taylor in Muenster, Texas in 1967. With his family, he owned and was the pharmacist for Taylor Drugs in Plano since 1983. He and his family also owned Taylor 2 in Frisco since 1998. Faith was important to Dennis and he was a founding member of St. Elizabeth Seton and Prince of Peace Catholic Communities in Plano. Since 1991, Dennis and Claudia Taylor have volunteered at Plano Children’s Medical clinic and for over ten years Dennis served as Wednesday night pharmacist. He also provided medical supplies at cost to both PCMC and Collin County Adult Clinic. He was a member of the TPA and ACP. Dennis loved his girls Claudia, Kristin and Erin and especially loved being a granddad and adored Colton and Madison. Dennis leaves a legacy of faith and love for his family who also adored him.
Survivors include wife, Claudia Endres Taylor, daughters, Kristin Denise Taylor, Erin Michelle Taylor Newell, son-in-law, Jason Paul Newell, grandchildren, Colton Alexander Newell (3), Madison Grace Newell (4 weeks), mother, Betty McClure Taylor, brother, Barry Taylor, sister, Nancy Taylor, brothers-in-law, Jerry Endres, Ronald Endres, Ted Endres, Tim Endres, Patrick Endres, sisters-in-law, Rachael Graves, Susan Metzler, and Sally Ferguson. He also leaves numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many friends.
A memorial mass will be held at 11:30 a.m., Monday at the Prince of Peace Catholic Community, 5100 West Plano Parkway in Plano with Rev. Msgr. Leon Duesmann officiating.
