IN LOVING MEMORY

Dennis Miller

May 12 1950 - Oct 24 2026

Dennis Miller died on October 24, 2026, at the age of 76.

Dennis was the rock that everyone relied on—strong, steady, kind. He was the ultimate protector, always ready to drop everything for family, friends, or even a stranger in need. Dennis was the person you called when things got tough. A man of immense integrity, he devoted his life to serving others.

Born on May 12, 1950, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dennis was the fourth of five children. He excelled in sports throughout his childhood and, in his senior year of high school, was named one of the top ten football players in Pittsburgh. He went on to play football at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, where he received a degree in mechanical engineering in 1972.

After graduating from West Point, he served five years in the Army’s Air Defense Artillery Branch. During that time, he was stationed at Fort Carson in Colorado, Camp Casey in South Korea, and Fort Bragg in North Carolina, where he served with the 82nd Airborne Division.

In 1966, Dennis met his future wife, Sue. What started out as an introduction at a high school dance grew into a lifelong love. Together, they shared the next 60 years. After completing his service in the Army, Dennis and Sue moved to Plano, Texas, where they raised their two daughters, Jessica and Karen. Dennis could not have been more proud of his girls.

Dennis continued serving his country after his time in the military through a career in national security. He worked as a manufacturing engineer for defense and missile technologies, first at Texas Instruments and later at Raytheon. Outside of work, Dennis loved to go fishing, spend time outdoors, talk politics, and hang out with “the guys.” He had an uncanny ability to fix just about anything and was always delighted to have a project to work on.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Ruth and Larry Miller and sister Mary Jackline. He is survived by his wife Sue Miller; daughters Karen Miller and Jessica Dolson; granddaughter Maddie Dolson; and siblings Connie Kubiak, Larry Miller, and Michael Miller.

The family invites friends and loved ones to gather in remembrance of Dennis. A funeral service will be held on November 13 at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, located at 8000 Eldorado Pkwy, Frisco, TX 75033. This will be followed by a reception at 1:00 PM at the Berkshire Chapel, 9073 Berkshire Drive, Frisco, TX 75033.

You can honor Dennis’s legacy by making a donation in his name to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, which supports Gold Star and fallen first responder families, as well as catastrophically injured veterans and first responders.
