Dennis “Denny” Preston Mathews, age 61, of Richardson, Texas, passed away February 18, 2007 at his home. He was born October 30, 1945, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Preston B. and Lois (Luke) Mathews. He graduated from Vallejo, California High School and served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from UC Davis and his teaching credentials where he taught Junior High School in Oregon. He spent four years at Dallas Theological Seminary and was a student at UT Dallas. He also worked at Riverbend Sandler Pools in Plano, TX. He is survived by his brother Gregory Mathews and his wife Shanna of Woodbridge, CT; nieces Tamara Fitzgerald and Lisa Mathews; great-nephews Caleb Fitzgerald and Nathan Edgin; and a host of other family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM, Thursday, March 1, 2007 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Gregory Mathews officiating.
