Dennis Carl, “D.C.” Viars, age 70, of Gunter, Texas passed away on August 14, 2016 in Plano, Texas. He was born on March 30, 1946 in Paynesville, West Virginia to Edith (Whitt) and Dewey Lee Viars. On July 13, 1969, D.C. married Loretta Ann Murr in Concord, North Carolina. D.C. worked in woodworking machinery sales and spent many years leading young men on baseball fields and in the community.
D.C. is survived by his wife, Loretta Viars of Gunter, two sons, Billy Viars and his wife, Tracy of Prosper and Andy Viars and his wife, Amy of Celina; four grandchildren, Jordan, Joshua, Emma and Garrett; six sisters; two brothers; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
D.C. is preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Service will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, 8520 Main Street, Frisco, Texas 75033, on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 10:00 AM.
