Dennis Bryan Feely, age 65 of Frisco, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 5, 2016. Dennis was born August 14, 1951, in Washington DC to Duane Corbin Feely and Frieda Fox Feely.
Dennis is a veteran of the US Navy receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1970. He is a graduate of the University of Delaware with a a Bachelor of Electrical / Electronics / Communications Degree. He received a Secret Service Clearance, a FCC First Class Radio Telephone License / Amateur Radio Extra Class License and was FEMA Certified.
Dennis was co-founder of IDB, the 3rd largest telecommunication company in the world. He also worked for a number of communication businesses including ABC Television / Radio, Telecom Group, VeriSign, Inc., Comtech EF Data, and DataPath, Inc. He contributed some major accomplishments in telecommunications industry during his life. He conceived, designed, staffed and operated the world's largest satellite teleports in Los Angeles and New York. He designed and implemented hundreds of satellite earth stations. Dennis was the first to use TV and Digital Flyway systems for major customers on all seven continents. Prestigious customers of his include European Broadcast Union, White House Communication Agency, US Military, HBO, Showtime, NBC, CBS, CNN, ABC. Dennis designed and built systems that transmitted many firsts in the satellite communications industry including, Live Global Concerts; Billy Joel in Russia, Springsteen in Sweden, NBC Today Show aboard a US aircraft carrier in the Mediterranean Sea, and numerous Presidential and Diplomatic Summits. He deployed the largest number of flyaway and vehicle systems during Desert Shield, Desert Storm, UNHCR and UNDP missions and numerous government agencies. He was involved in almost all of the television images that captured the world's attention during the Tiennamen Square protests/massacre, through systems' designed, built and operated for the major broadcasters
Dennis is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jennifer Good of Frisco, Texas; his children, Bridget North and husband, Kurt North of Ft. Collins, Colorado; Alyssa Tabolsky and husband, Mike Tabolsky of Maple Valley, Washington; step-son, Jared Richard Artkop and wife, Gwyneth of West Haven Connecticut; his brother, Thomas Feely and wife, Karen of Ashburn, Virginia; the Mother of his children, Christine Feely of Maple Valley, Washington; grandchildren, Kelsey Jade North, Kyla Brooke North, Kenzie Rose North and Jordan James Tabolsky.
A Funeral Service will be held at Grace Church, 8440 Grace Street, Frisco Texas 75034, on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Craig Cabaniss officiating with a reception to follow. Interment will be held at Ridgeview West Memorial Park, 12130 Peaceful Lane, Frisco Texas 75033.
