Along with 3 bonus siblings, Carol Ann Dawley, Marcus Sheffield, Kent Sheffield, and their spouses. Also, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Gail Britt and bonus mom Annie V. Britt.

Born July 8, 1958, and raised in the Dallas area, Dennis's parents, Grandon and Gail, provided a nurturing environment. After graduating from Richardson JJ Pearce High School, he embarked on a career in Telecommunication manufacturing while pursuing higher education at the University of Texas at Dallas, where he achieved a Bachelor of Science in Business Management.

He spent the next 25 years in operations, with Alcatel and Sanmina. He then spent the next 5 years as VP of Operations with D4D where his experience and leadership were instrumental in establishing this new emerging technology company. Embarking into another industry, Dennis took on the role of VP of operations with Circuitronics and Optisense for 8 years. He then went back to Sanmina where he started his career as a director for the remaining 5 years. Dennis formed countless lasting friendships with coworkers and colleagues. His work was not just a job; it reflected his passion, kindness, and generosity, which touched the lives of many.

He married the love of his life, Terri in 2010, Their journey was filled with adventures, travel, and lots of laughter. He adored their blended family, sharing in their joys and experiences. Dennis became a Christian in 1973. He was a very active member at Canyon Creek Baptist Church. He and his wife are current members of Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church. Dennis's radiant spirit brought joy to all those around him. His faith in God was a guiding light in his life. Although his light has dimmed, his legacy lives on through the actions and cherished memories of those he touched.

Dennis had a lifelong love for sports, from baseball and football to softball and golf. Sports became a canvas for creating lasting memories with friends, and his weekly golf outings remained a source of joy, even as he battled cancer.

As we grieve Dennis's passing, we take solace in the knowledge that he now rests in the arms of the Lord, free from pain and suffering, and one day, we believe, we'll be reunited in the presence of our Heavenly Father.
