Denise Marie Wolf, age 47 of Prosper, Texas passed away on February 13, 2008 in Prosper. She was born on July 4, 1960 in Denver, Colorado to Rex and Jackie (Vitatoe) Shepherd. Denise graduated from Vinton High School and attended The University of Northern Iowa where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree on December 21, 1984. She went on to attain a Master of Arts Degree from Texas Woman’s University in 1991. Denise married Tim Wolf on August 13, 1988 at Sacred Heart Catholic church in Muenster, Texas and together they had two children, Dillon and Madison. She began her career in 1984 working as a Nutritionist at R.H. Deadman Hospital in Farmers Branch and went on to work for the WIC program where she was a Director for 22 years. During her tenure with the WIC program, Denise initiated a new program in Collin County and went from being the only employee to grow to four clinics in McKinney, Plano, Wylie and Frisco. She is survived by her husband, Tim Wolf of Prosper, Texas; son, Dillon Wolf of Prosper, Texas; daughter, Madison Wolf of Prosper, Texas; father, Rex Shepherd of Vinton, Iowa; brothers and sisters, John Shepherd of Washington, DC, Robert Shepherd of Columbus, Nebraska, Debbie Shepherd of Denton, Texas, Tammie Badarak of North Carolina, Glen Shepherd of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Scott Shepherd of Austin, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Denise is preceded in death by her mother, Jackie Shepherd. Family and friends are invited to the funeral Home at their convenience on Friday, February 15, 2008 to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends at the funeral home during a Visitation on Friday evening beginning at 6:30 with a recitation of the Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held at St. Gabriel Catholic Church at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 16, 2008 with Father Don Zeiler presiding. Interment will follow at Ridgeview West Memorial Park in Frisco, Texas. An education trust fund is to be established for Dillon and Madison.
