Delvin H. and Betty L. Sergent of Farmersville, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 in Farmersville, Texas. Delvin was born on March 1, 1932 in Wolf Point, Montana to Benjamin and Delilah Bailey Sergent. He married Betty Johnson on June 9, 1959 in Ft. Worth, Texas. He was a heavy equipment operator. He served in the U. S. Navy in the Korean and Vietnam War.
Betty was born on October 17, 1930 in Farmersville, Texas to Lee L. and Verna Mae Johnson. She married Delvin Sergent on June 9, 1959 in Ft. Worth, Texas. She worked as a purchasing agent. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church in Farmersville, Texas.
Together they are survived by; two daughters, Linda Craft and husband Gary of Garland, Texas and Terri Walls of Farmersville, Texas, 3 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.
Delvin is survived by 2 sisters, Myrtle McCleery and Aletha Crampton.
Betty is survived by 2 brothers, David Johnson and Vernon Johnson, 1 sister, Sandra McClain.
They were preceded in death by, parents, son, Steve Walls and daughter, Cheri Walls.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 24, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hurst’s Fielder Baker Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Rev. Chase Smith and Vernon Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow in I. O. O. F. Cemetery in Farmersville, Texas.
