Della Louise Hill Chesser “Skip” passed away on March 4, 2015.
Louise was born on March 13, 1935 to Bascum and Minnie Hill in the Salty community near Rockdale, TX. She was the second of five children, from that union.

Louise is survived by her devoted husband, John; beloved daughters Gail Ferrell and Lisa Ferrell.

She is also survived by two sisters, Marie Adams and partner Dale Crocker, Carlie Herbert and husband Paul, as well as many nieces, nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons Jackie Scruggs and Bobby Ferrell, one granddaughter Stephanie Young, one grandson Brian Chesser, four brothers and two sisters.

Louise and John were married on May 16, 1980 in Whitewright, Texas with Rev. Houston Garner officiating, and welcomed into her heart his children, John T. Chesser, Earl Chesser, Bev Gunn, Judy Smith, Scott Chesser and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Louise and John spent many happy years traveling in their camper following John's job with TP&L where she took great joy in spoiling his crew by cooking their favorite foods. They built a new home and settled in Tom Bean after retirement.

Louise gave unselfishly to the care of her mother for many years. She was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.

Family visitation Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 1 pm with funeral services following at 2 pm at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, Whitewright, TX, Rev Phillip Smith officiating. The graveside service will follow Sunday March 08, 2015 at 2pm, Salty Cemetery, Milam County. Pallbearers will be Branden Ferrell, Clint Ferrell, Jordan Smith, Earl Chesser, David Smith, Scott Chesser. Honorary Pallbearer will be Michael Young.
