Delbert Henry Kleppe, Sr.

Delbert Henry Kleppe, Sr. of Allen, Texas passed away November 6, 2020 at the age of 76.  He was born on November 14, 1943 to Vernon William Arno Kleppe and Betty Bertha Marie (Horstmann) Kleppe in Bennett, Iowa.  Delbert served his country proudly in the United States Air Force.  He married the late Nelva Jeanne (Nelms) Kleppe on May 11, 1965 in San Angelo, Texas and they enjoyed 53 years of marriage before her passing.  Delbert was a member of The Church of Christ on McDermott Road in Plano, Texas.

He is survived by his daughter, Dr. Karen Kleppe Graham and husband, Jim of Jonesboro, Arkansas; son, Delbert Kleppe, Jr. and wife, Heather of Allen, Texas; grandchildren, Taylor Graham and wife, Adriana of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Reese Graham of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Tanner Kleppe of McKinney, Texas, Raegan Kleppe of McPherson, Kansas, Austin Paul, Bailey Paul, and Colton Colvard, all of Allen, Texas; sisters, Carole Hadfield and husband, Bill of Bellevue, Nebraska and Linda Davis and husband, Mark of Wheatland, Iowa; several nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.

Delbert was preceded in death by his wife, Nelva Jeanne (Nelms) Kleppe; parents; sister, Eileen Biddle; and brother, Gene Kleppe.

In support of our local, state, and federal government including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, only a limited number of 150 guests will be allowed to attend the Memorial Service.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 13, 2020 at The Church of Christ on McDermott Road, 3600 McDermott Road, Plano, Texas 75025.

A “come and go” visitation will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.  Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing.

Delbert will be interred in a private ceremony at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery next to his beloved wife, Nelva Jeanne (Nelms) Kleppe.
