Dee Anna Alexander

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dee Anna Alexander, who entered Heaven’s gates on August 4, 2025, at the age of 83.

Dee Anna was born on May 27, 1942, in Sherman, Texas to parents Lloyd and Opal Nora (Press) Alexander.

Dee Anna was a 1960 graduate of Whitewright High School.

Dee Anna was a devoted member of the Kentuckytown Baptist Church. She loved singing for many years as part of the First Baptist Church of Whitewright, Texas and Kentuckytown Baptist Church. She enjoyed Sunday School and her many friends who were called the Jesus Girls.

Dee Anna was a board member of Oak Hill Cemetery Association in Whitewright, Texas.

Dee Anna will be remembered by her cousins, Rochelle Crump of Grand Prairie, Texas, Aimee Jo Greer of Hurst, Texas, Brad Alexander of Berry Farms, Texas, Gary Alexander of Denison, Texas, and Rosezina of Colorado; chosen sisters and caretakers, June Gail Bond-Purdom and Bobbie Kay Cawthon-McCartney; very good friends, Diane Stephens and Suzanne Almond; her birthday sister, Vicki Franklin; the Kentuckytown Jesus Girls; and the Whitewright High School Class of 1960. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A funeral service, officiated by Rodney Stanford, with opening and closing prayer by Doyle Thompson, will be held at 2 PM, Friday, August 8, 2025, at Kentuckytown Baptist Church, 264 Kentucky Town Rd, Whitewright, TX 75491. Following the service, the burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Whitewright, Texas.

Pallbearers for the service are Brad Alexander, Bill Coley, Datra Ball, Charles Owens and Charley Copeland. Eddie Dean McCartney,  Bob Purdom, and Kenneth Franklin will serve as honorary pallbearers.

June Gail and Bobbi Kay would like to thank Mullican Care Center for the great care and love that they showed our great friend, Dee Anna.
