Debra “Debbie” Stratton Tate of Plano, Texas passed away on December 15, 2022 at the age of 70. She was born on October 21, 1952 to Edward and Jane (Brown) Stratton in Tampa, Florida. Debbie married Keith Bryan Tate on April 23, 1977 in Texas. She attended Southern Methodist University and graduated from North Texas State University with a degree in education.
She was employed as a teacher in the Richardson Independent School District, and retired after over 20 years of service.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Debbie. She loved doing yard work, enjoyed evenings with friends and family and always looked forward to her next adventure. She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily activities. Her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met.
She is survived by her son, Bryan Tate and wife, Jessica of Melissa, Texas; grandchildren, Braylon and Ari Reese both of Melissa, Texas; sister, Cathy Mixson of Keller, Texas; nephew, Hunter Mixson of Keller, Texas; and a host of other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Bryan Tate; and brother-in-law, Bob Mixson.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas.
