Debra "Debbie" Ann Williams, of Wylie, Texas, passed away on December 17, 2024, at the age of 72. She was born on September 22, 1952, to Elwood Roy Boyd and Patricia Ann (Prim) Boyd in Fort Worth, Texas.
Debbie grew up in Plano, Texas, where she was a proud graduate of Plano High School, Class of 1970, “Go Plano Wildcats!!”. She married Evert Jay Terwort, and they enjoyed 34 years of marriage filled with love and cherished memories.
Debbie was the president and owner of American Southwest Insurance Managers, a position she held with pride until her retirement in 2014. She was a driven and successful businesswoman, but her true joy was in the relationships she built along the way.
Debbie enjoyed traveling, as well as the gambling at the casinos. She was also an enthusiastic fan of the Dallas Cowboys, supporting the team with unwavering loyalty.
Above all, Debbie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Debbie is survived by her beloved husband, Jay Terwort of Wylie, Texas; daughter, Andrea Martinez and husband, Nick of Lucas, Texas; grandchildren, Shelby Kaulfus and husband, Austin of Wylie, Texas and Nicholas Martinez of Garland, Texas; great-grandchildren, Emory Kaulfus and Rhett Kaulfus; sister, Cindy Terwort of Richardson, Texas; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Barry Boyd; sister, Kay Lollar; and aunt, Ruth Nilmeir.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
