Debra “Debby” Ann Zimmerman danced her way into heaven at 67 years of age on Sunday, March 6, 2022, to the beat of country music while surrounded by family and close friends. She was born on January 31, 1955, to Herbert and Dorothy (Caswell) Zimmerman in Weatherford, Texas.
Debby is survived by her children, Kelli Huddleston, Karin Huddleston Langford, and Cole Huddleston; grandchildren, Xander Huddleston, Wyatt and Rylie Langford; brothers, Scott Zimmerman and wife, Stacey, and Tom Zimmerman and wife, Linda; numerous nieces and nephews; her loyal four-legged companion Maggie May; and many cherished friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herb and Dorothy Zimmerman.
After graduating from Lake Highlands High School in 1973, Debby graduated Baylor University in 1977 after studying Early Childhood Education. She was a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority. Her 26-year teaching career in Garland and Allen ISDs touched the lives of hundreds of children.
Debby will be remembered for her love of life through country music, dancing, animal print clothing, Dallas Cowboys football, Baylor and TCU football, James Bond movies, NCIS, roosters, socks, Fox News, Americana, favorite colors of purple and green, and so many more passions. She will be missed until we will see her again.
A memorial service will be held at Berkshire Chapel, 9073 Berkshire Drive, Frisco, Texas 75033, on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. The service will be available for viewing on our livestream at https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/debra-debby-ann-zimmerman.
