Debra Ann Perkins

Ms. Debra Ann Perkins passed away on May 24, 2024, at the age of 67. She was born in Dallas, Texas on September 18, 1956, and raised by James E. Perkins and Viola (Haskins) Perkins.

Debra is survived by her brothers Steven Perkins, and Ken Perkins – wife Kathy, Nieces Stacy Roscoe, Katherine Perkins, and Nephews Jacob Perkins, Kyle Perkins – wife Victoria, as well as her many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her sister Linda Nordin, brother Ronnie Perkins, and her parents.

Debra was a talented videographer and achieved many significant milestones in her career, including winning the Best Editing Award for the film "Come Inside My World" in 1990 and the Best Camera Work Award in the same year.

Her work was featured on ESPN in 1988 with "Legends of World Class Wrestling." Debra freelanced on various projects for Saltarelli Tele-Productions and worked at KXTX Channel 39 as an Assistant Master Control Operator. She also served as an Assistant Video Instructor at the Video Technical Institute and as an Editor and Technician of videography for the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. More recently, she was a Freelancer/Editor for Freelance Productions and a Marketing Supervisor for SCI.

Debra's artistic eye extended beyond her professional life. She was a member of an art group where she shared her unique pieces with individuals worldwide. Her free spirit and dedication to her craft were evident in both her personal and professional endeavors.

A Remembrance gathering to celebrate Debra's life will be held at Hurst's Fielder Baker Funeral Home on Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
