IN LOVING MEMORY

Deborah Ann Serpa

May 22 1961 - Jun 19 2021

Deborah Ann (Miller) Serpa passed away June 19, 2021, in Dallas, Texas at the age of 60. She was born on May 22, 1961, to Frank and Grace Charlotte (Monius) Miller in Columbus, Georgia. Deborah married Christopher Serpa at Fort Benning on December 15, 1984, in Columbus, Georgia.

Deb worked for the Wichita Appraisal District, Child Protective Services (foster care), and dental front office. She was a substitute teacher and volunteer during both sons’ grammar school days. Deb also worked at Equifax and was a title specialist at Collin County.

She enjoyed traveling to Germany, where she resided for two years as a military wife. Texas was her adopted state and she often referred to herself as a Texan. Deb loved her family and had a contagious smile and a hardy laugh that infected everyone in the room, or within earshot.

She loved conversations with a good friend and people in general, about a variety of subjects that always included a few words about our Lord Jesus Christ. Deb was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and loyal member of the Stepping Stone non-denominational church.

She is survived by her husband, Chris Serpa of McKinney; son, Matt Serpa of Allen, Texas; sister, Grace Finneran of Birmingham, Alabama; and her brother, John Bergman of Columbus, Georgia.

Deborah is preceded in death by her son, Brian Thomas Serpa; her parents, Frank and Grace Miller.

A graveside service will be held Monday, June 28, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at  Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.
