Deborah Jean Norah, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on May 19, 2026, at the age of 74.

She was born on June 24, 1951, in Chicago, Illinois, to Elijah Norah and Lula M. Shorrod. Deborah was a devoted Jehovah’s Witness and found great comfort in her faith, often participating in online church services.

Deborah enjoyed an active and social life. She loved spending time at the senior center in McKinney, where she made many friends. Her favorite pastimes included playing bingo, working out, visiting the casino, and, most importantly, cherishing time with her family.

She is survived by her sons, Ronald Rocquemore of McKinney, Texas, James Rocquemore of Chicago, Illinois, and Terrell Rocquemore of Chicago, Illinois; her grandchildren, Ronald Rocquemore Jr. of Frisco, Texas, Jontrell and Brianna of Vancouver, Washington, and Jalon Rocquemore of McKinney, Texas; Jonticiana Rocquemore, Jamese Watson, Tiara Rocquemore, Mariah Brown, A'maria Rocquemore, Tierra Hurt, Delandus Brown, and Alexis Askew of Chicago Illinois.

Sister, Dawn Wright; and her brothers, Leonard Norah, Bobby Norah and Curtis Norah of Chicago, Illinois.

Grandchildren & great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lula Norah and father Elijah Norah; brothers Elijah Norah Jr., Gerald Norah, and Bernard Norah; and sister Venus Norah.

Deborah will be remembered for her warm spirit, her love of family, and the joy she found in life’s simple pleasures.
