Deborah Ann Bolden, age 58, of Little Elm, Texas passed away on November 28, 2024. She was born on February 21, 1966, to Lillie Mae Thompson in McComb, Mississippi.
Deborah graduated from Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi in 1988 with a Bachelor’s Arts degree in Business. She worked for the Mississippi Department of Transportation from 1988 to 2000. Deborah enjoyed working with children so much that she decided to work for several school districts substituting and working with students to help them read and learn. During her free time, Deborah enjoyed volunteering with children. She did this work from 2011 to 2017. She began working for the Department of Homeland Security Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) from 2017 to 2024.
Deborah was joined in holy matrimony to Tommie Lee Bolden, III on September 9, 2000 in McComb, Mississippi. She moved to Texas to start her new family with Tommie. Through their union, they have three beautiful daughters. The family moved to Little Elm, Texas in 2002 and resided there until her time of passing where she was surrounded by her family.
In her spare time, Deborah enjoyed spending time with family and friends, shopping, cooking and traveling. Deborah loved traveling to see different places with her family so her children could see as many different places as possible.
She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church of the Colony and enjoyed listening to the church choir along with the word of GOD during Sunday service.
She is survived by her husband, Tommie Lee Bolden III; her daughters, Candice Bolden, Gabrielle Bolden, and Zipporah Bolden; her brother, Ronald Thompson; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Deborah was preceded in death by her mother, Lillie Mae Thompson.
A funeral service will be held at Friendship Baptist Church of The Colony, 4396 Main Street, The Colony, Texas 75056, on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation prior, beginning at 10:00 a.m. A viewing will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 8520 Main Street, Frisco, Texas 75033, on Monday, December 9, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
