Dayton Duncan

Dayton Duncan was born on April 27, 1929, in Frisco, Texas. He went to be with his Lord on August 3, 2022, at the age of 93.

Dayton was a 1945 graduate of Frisco High School and a veteran of the Korean War. He had a successful 33 year career at Vought Corporation as a machinist and in multiple management positions. He loved the Frisco community, especially the youth. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Lions Club, VFW, Frisco High Booster Club and served as Scout Master, Youth Baseball Commissioner and Coach, Sunday School teacher and the Frisco Heritage Association. Dayton served his community on the Planning and Zoning board and Parks Department among various other volunteer work. He was named Frisco Citizen of the Year and served as Veterans Day Parade Grand Marshal.

Dayton was preceded in death by five sisters, seven brothers, a son, Kevin Lee Duncan, and a daughter, Baby Girl Duncan.

Dayton is survived by his wife of 71 years, Billie Jo Duncan of Frisco; two sons, James Barrick (Barry) Duncan and wife Gaile of Mansfield, and Daly Bryan Duncan of Frisco. He was blessed with four grandchildren: Bailey Ross Duncan, Cassie Duncan Rash, Clay Barrick Duncan & April Pinto; four great grandchildren: Garrett & Ava Grace Duncan and Ethan & Emma Rash; as well as several nieces & nephews.

A Remembrance Gathering will held at Berkshire Chapel, 9073 Berkshire Drive, Frisco, Texas, on Monday, August 15, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
