David Patrick Maroney of McKinney, Texas passed away on October 4, 2020 at the age of 55. He was born on October 6, 1964 to Phillip and Judith Maroney in Johnson City, New York. David received his bachelor’s degree from Binghamton University and master’s degree from Scranton University. He was a Senior Director of Human Resources for Raytheon for 33 years. David derived no greater joy than sharing in hobbies and interests with his children, especially sports memorabilia collecting. His love for his children was beyond words.
David is survived by his son, Justin Maroney of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Kelleigh Thomas and husband, Reagan, of Manchaca, Texas; granddogs, Chloe and Ford; sister, Susie Pandish and husband, Steve, of Haymarket, Virginia; parents, Phillip and Judith Maroney of Haymarket, Virginia; and his former wife, Michelle Maroney of McKinney, Texas.
David fought long and hard against pancreatic cancer. He was a true example of strength, love, and grace through it all. He hoped that those wishing to honor him would consider making a donation to either the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, St. Jude’s Children's Hospital, or the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
