David Wayne Tepfer, age 61, of Sanger, Texas, passed away on October 31, 2017, in Frisco, Texas. He was born on May 11, 1956, to Martha Gene (Price) and George M. Tepfer in San Bernadino, California. On July 1, 1983, David married Cynthia Elaine Toops in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He worked as a tool / dye mold maker for the past 42 years, the past 10 years of which he spent working at Sunbelt Plastics. He loved his job and settled for being nothing but the best at his trade. He loved those he worked with and they loved him back.
David is survived by his wife, Cindy Tepfer; his daughter, Jenny Grantham and her husband, Zac, of Sherman, Texas; his son, Chris Tepfer and his wife, Tabitha, of Aubrey, Texas; grandchildren, Faith Tepfer, Christopher Tepfer, Kaden Grantham, and Rhett Grantham; sisters, Carolyn Luellen of Plano, Texas, and Sharon Houchens and her husband, Melvin, of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, along with several cousins and nieces and nephews. In his younger years, he spent many days in the sun, camping with his family and taking his boat to the lake. He had a laugh that was infectious and a heart bigger than Texas. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for his family and would have given the shirt off his back to a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Martha Tepfer, brother, Jack Tepfer, and sister, Patsy Smith.
Family and friends are invited to a Visitation on Thursday evening, November 2, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Frisco. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 3, 2017, at the funeral home. Interment will follow.
