David Wayne Smith of Celina, Texas, passed away on January 18, 2026, at the age of 58. He was born on March 2, 1967, in Graham, Texas, to Gerald Wayne and Judy Geraldine (Nunley) Smith.
David attended Paul Pewitt High School and graduated from the University of Phoenix. He was of the Christian faith. He served honorably in the United States Marine Corps from 1991 to 1995. From 1992 to 1993, he served in Somalia for Operation Restore Hope. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, riding his Harleys, and above all else, being a family man.
David is survived by his children, Bailey Smith and husband, Ricardo Guanipa of New Smyrna, Florida, Ansley Smith of Frisco, Texas, and Bryson Smith of Waco, Texas; sisters, Karen Russell and husband, Rich of Decatur, Texas, and Cinthia Hawkins and husband, Scott of Peyton, Colorado; father, Gerald Smith of Mineral Wells, Texas; mother, Judy Smith of Bowie Texas; and many other loving family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. Following the service, a procession will travel to Pioneer Cemetery in Graham, Texas, for interment.
The family will receive guests for a visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday evening, January 30th, at the funeral home.
