David Richard Evans, 81, passed away on February 20, 2026, in McKinney, Texas. He was born on February 16, 1945, in Arlington, Virginia, to his loving parents David E. Evans and Jean (Howden) Evans. David was a graduate of The University of Texas at El Paso with a bachelor’s degree in English. He retired from the Social Security Administration and had a second career with Fidelity Investments.
David is survived by his wife, Gwenne Pierce, of McKinney, Texas; children, Drew Draxler (Laura) of Prosper, Texas, Kristin Draxler (Danny Wilson) also of Prosper, Texas, Aaron Draxler of Dallas, Texas, and Noah Draxler of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Pierce Draxler, Grace Draxler, Tristan Draxler, Madison Wilson, and Kaitlyn Torres; great grandchildren, Maddox Rogers, Luna Martinez, and Andrew Draxler; and a host of extended family members and friends, who will miss him dearly and forever cherish his memory.
David was preceded in death by parents David and Jean Evans, sister, Barbara Daughtry, and grandson, Jerrad Andrew Draxler. A celebration of David’s life will be held at a later date.
