David Frazier Crawford, 64, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018, at Medical City Plano in Plano, Texas as a victim of pancreatic cancer. He was born in Canton, Mississippi on July 13, 1953.  David was a graduate of Canton Academy. He worked as an Information Technology Specialist with Trustmark National Bank and EDS until 1986 when EDS transferred him to Plano.  David married Carol Plank of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on August 11, 1990 in Allen, Texas. His favorite activity was cheering his daughters on in their respective activities. David’s hobbies were going to the movies with his family, especially to see the Star Wars series. He was a treasure to his wife and two daughters, Kris and Melanie. More than anything, he loved being a father. David was known for his laugh, ready smile, unique sense of humor and his tendency to forcefully say over the phone, “then, hit the re-set button.” He will be remembered as a genuinely kind and loving man. David and Carol are members of City Point Church in Allen.

He is survived by his loving wife and daughters; brother, Bill Crawford (Lynn) of Meridian, MS; sister, Jan Taylor (Bob) of Tupelo, MS; father and mother-in law, William and Dorothy Plank of Pittsburgh, PA; sister-in-law, Kathryn Plank of Columbus, OH; brother-in-law, David Plank of Pittsburgh, PA; numerous nieces and nephews; and grand-nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his parents, William and Marie Crawford of Canton, MS.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 8, 2018 at City Point Church, 15 Prestige Circle, Allen, Texas 75002.
