David Elbert Barch passed away on February 20, 2023 in McKinney, Texas at the age of 80. He was born October 23, 1942, in Luxora, Arkansas to John and Susie (Freezor) Barch. He married LuCretia Bourland on June 22, 1985 in Durant, Oklahoma. David served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves. He retired after having been a brick mason from 1960-2007.
David is survived by his wife LuCretia Barch of McKinney, Texas; children, Johnny Clayton Shanks of McKinney and wife, Suzi, Monette McCollom of McKinney and husband, Kenny; grandchildren, Jerrod Black and Justin Black of McKinney, Cody McCollom and Jesse McCollom of McKinney, great grandson, Cole McCollom of McKinney; sister, Martha Bartoszkiewicz of Tennessee; brothers, Marvin Barch of Mississippi, Joe Barch of Arkansas, Norman Barch, Sr. of Texas; brother-in-law, Don Bourland of Texas; sisters-in-law, Clementine Barch of Texas, and Brenda Bourland of Texas; as well as a host of other loving family and friends.
David was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary Miller, Bobbie Nell Barch, Dorothy Hanna, Sandra Effin, Patricia Caldwell; brothers, Paul Barch, and Phillip Barch, Sr.
A Graveside Service will be held at Ridgeview Memorial Park 2525 Central Expressway North Allen, Texas 75013 on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at 2:30 p.m., with Randy Morlan officiating. Interment to follow the service. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience late Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning to pay their respects and to sign the register book.
