Funeral services for David Carson Cotten, 18 year old Houston resident formerly of Celeste, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday September 25th at the First Baptist Church of Celeste. Dr. James Ralson and Bro. Jim Sherwin will officiate. Mr. Cotten died Sunday September 21st at his residence in Houston. Family visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday September 24th at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard. Burial will be in the Celeste/Hogeye Cemetery. Mr. Cotten was a 2008 graduate of Celeste High School and a member of the First Baptist Church of Celeste. Mr. Cotten is survived by his mother and her husband: Leah and David Macaluso of Houston, Texas; his father: Pat Cotten of Greenville, Texas; his brothers: Justin Rickman and his wife Jennifer of Trinidad, Texas and Robert Cotten and his fiancée Katy Fritts of Celeste, Texas; his step-brothers: Joe Cotton and Joshua and Joel Macaluso of Houston, Texas; his step-sister: Christa Macaluso of Houston, Texas; his grandparents: Melba Compton of Celeste, Texas, Marjorie Cotten of Greenville, Texas, A.D. and Jonnie Macaluso of Houston, Texas & Charlie & Shirley Keleman of Hitchcock, Texas; his aunts and uncles: Caroline Richards of Garland, Texas, Duane and Sue Compton of Celeste, Texas, Russell and Debbie Compton of Celeste, Texas, Ric and Paula Holland of Houston, Texas, Mark Macaluso of Pasadena, Texas, Teri and Cary Scott of Burbank, California, Debra Cotten of Greenville, Texas, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Cotten of Greenville, Texas and Dequita Hall of Greenville, Texas. He is also survived by his best friend Justin Alderson of Celeste, Texas, numerous cousins and the 2008 graduates of Celeste High School. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Bobby Joe Compton and Ralph Cotten. Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home of Leonard is in charge of arrangements.
