David is survived by his wife of 33 years, Linda Carelock Allbritton, three children, April Ajoy Allbritton, Andrew David Allbritton, and Matthew David Allbritton, his mother, Norma Jean Allbritton and sister Sharon Allbritton Axton. He was surpassed in death by his father, Pastor Bert L. Allbritton. His Children are all currently in college. April is getting her Masters in Journalism at Regent University in Virginia. Andrew will be receiving his Bachelors Degree next year at Texas Tech with a Marketing Major. Matthew is on a full ride Basketball scholarship at Delta State University in Mississippi. He is majoring in Business. They were all raised in the ministry and feel a calling to be in the ministry in some capacity. Dr. David Allbritton was a soul winning evangelist, pastor and author. He has led over 5 million people to Jesus Christ and seen tens of thousands healed and delivered by God’s power. David has also taught personal soul winning to over 10 million Christians and has ministered to millions on national television in America such as TBN and 700 Club and in 128 countries by short wave radio. David and his wife Linda have ministered in 46 nations of the world. At the time of his passing, he was writing a book called ‘Influence’. In 1973 David was selected to the Outstanding College Athletes of America for scoring 34.9 point per game (high game of 55 points). This was accomplished in spite of sight in one eye. David Allbritton has written over 27 books and over 150 gospel tracts. He was the founder of the Worldwide Jesus Marches and the "Wake Up America Rallies" that feature U.S. Congressman and Presidential appointees. David was also the founder of his citywide youth awareness "Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Christ" which involved many professional athletes. David was currently President of America Say Jesus and Senior Pastor of The Winner's Edge Church in Garland Texas. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 22, 2011, at Champions Life Christian Church, Dallas, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitaiton on Wednesday beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen.
