IN LOVING MEMORY

Darren Lee Albrecht

May 22 1974 - Jan 25 2025

Darren “D” Albrecht, age 50, of Little Elm, Texas passed away January 25, 2025.  D was born May 22, 1974, in Los Angeles, California, to James Henry and Barbara Ann (Frye) Albrecht.  He married Kellee Marleen Spooner on January 2, 1999, in Big Bear, California.

He is survived by his wife, Kellee Albrecht of Little Elm, Texas; children, Dakota Lee Albrecht and wife, Makena of Aubrey, Texas, Sierra Albrecht of Little Elm, and Dylan Boettcher of Oakhurst, California; granddaughter, Peyton Boettcher; sisters, Michelle Smith and husband, Duke of Long Beach, California and Andrea Kober and husband, Dave of Enterprise, Alabama; brother Michael Albrecht of Napa, California; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Barbara Albrecht.

Darren’s passion was working in his yard and planting flowers, but particularly, Tulip bulbs. He would be so excited for Spring to come so they would all bloom! His yard looked like it should have been in a magazine. He did, however, win Yard of the Month several times. Another love he had was detailing fine automobiles. He owned and operated D’s Mobile Auto Detailing for the past 20 years. It gave him such pride to transform a dirty car into a sparkling beauty! He was so talented when it came to making things shine and bloom!

When he wasn’t working outside, he would spend all of his extra time with his family. He loved to skydive with Sierra, taking trips with Kellee to Cocoa Beach and taking drives to the country just to get a Carl’s Jr. hamburger. His voice could be heard all the way to the street when he was yelling at the tv during a Cowboys game!  Last but not least, he loved going to the casino. His rule was he had to be all by himself, otherwise Kellee and Sierra would jinx him, and he wouldn’t win.

Darren’s Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, February 8th, 1:30-4:30p.m. at Heritage Lakes Clubhouse 3949 Village Blvd., Frisco, TX 75034.
