Darrell Wayne McGee of Collinsville, Texas passed away on December 12, 2025, at the age of 64. He was born on July 18, 1961, in Dallas, Texas, to Charles Clinton McGee and Barbara Ann (Collinsworth) McGee. Darrell's journey through life was filled with laughter, love, and countless memories especially on the serene waters of Lake Texoma.
Darrell spent his days as a fishing guide, a role he cherished deeply. He didn’t just fish; he built connections on the water, shared stories, and forged friendships that lasted a lifetime. For him, fishing was about the joy of being outdoors and the camaraderie with friends and family, not just about the catch. He knew every nook and cranny of the lake like the back of his hand, always eager to share his passion and his expertise with others.
Darrell married his beloved wife, Joyce Annette Paladino on August 14, 1980, in Allen, Texas. Their love was an inspiring testament to partnership and devotion filled with respect, loyalty, and laughter. He dedicated his life to Joyce, standing by her side through thick and thin, and they created a warm and loving home together.
Family was the heartbeat of Darrell’s life. He was not only a proud father to his son, Clint McGee, and daughter, Angela Cormier, but also a doting grandfather to Hunter, Brylee, Kinly, Jackson, and Parker. Whether they were fishing, laughing, or simply enjoying each other's company, Darrell's nurturing spirit left an indelible mark on their hearts.
Darrell will be remembered for his generous spirit, infectious laughter, and the warmth he brought into every relationship. His legacy lives on in the memories shared on Lake Texoma and the love that binds his family together.
Darrell is survived by his wife, Joyce McGee of Collinsville, Texas; daughter, Angela Cormier and husband, Brent, also of Collinsville; son, Clint McGee and wife, Blakely of Gainesville, Texas; grandchildren, Hunter Owens, Kinly McGee, Jackson Dedinsky and Parker Blake McGee; father, Charles McGee; and numerous other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by mother, Barbara McGee.

Then we will have a boat procession to scatter his ashes at his favorite spot on Lake Texoma.
