Danny Yun Kim

Jul 18 1966 - Feb 15 2024

With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to Dr. Danny Yun Kim on February 15, 2024, at the age of 57. Dr. Danny Kim was a treasured pediatrician and beloved pillar of the Plano, Texas community. Danny's journey was one of compassion and dedication, born in South Korea, to Chin Hong and Young Ja Kim.

His path was one of academic excellence, from Dulles High School, to a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Texas at Austin, and earned his MD at the University of Texas at Galveston. Dr. Danny Kim joined hands in marriage with his soulmate, Jennifer Kim, forging a bond of love and shared dreams.

For over 26 years, Danny poured his heart into caring for children, leaving an enduring impact on Windhaven Pediatrics and Cook Children's Pediatrics Windhaven. His kindness and commitment touched countless lives, a legacy that will forever be cherished.

Yet, beyond his medical calling, Danny was a man of boundless creativity and passion. His love for the arts and sports brought joy to those around him, uniting friends and family in shared moments of laughter and camaraderie. Danny fervently cheered for his beloved teams, the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, and Texas Rangers.

In the quiet moments, Danny found solace in the embrace of nature, tending to his garden and his fish aquariums with care and reverence. Danny and Jennifer loved traveling, exploring different cultures, history and their delight for local cuisines.

Danny is survived by his devoted wife, Jennifer, his loving mother, Young, and his dear brother, John. While we mourn his passing, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and love. May his memory serve as a guiding light, inspiring us to kindness and service.

A celebration of Danny's life will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2024, 2:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas.
