Dannie Richardson Cantrell was born in Blue Ridge, Texas on November 1, 1937 to Hunter E. "Bus" and Janice (Dunn) Richardson. She married Kenneth Cantrell on November 3, 1956. She passed from this life on September 13, 2018 in McKinney, Texas.
Dannie was known as Momma, Big Dan or Grannie Dannie to many of her daughter's friends and their kids, but probably the most cherished name she answered to was Mammaw. She mostly spent her time being a housewife, but also was a part of Freda & Me Florist & Gift Shop on the square in Blue Ridge for many years.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-laws: Tina and Duane Marks, Kim and Walt Wright, and Kari and Tony Dickerson, all of Blue Ridge. Grandchildren: Jason Dickson, Shaina Clay, Matt Dickson, Jordan Marks, Cassie and Blake Grimmett, Taylor Wright, Kolton and Alex Dickerson, and Hunter Dickerson. Great Grandchildren: Rylann and Hayes Grimmett, Avery and Andi Clay, Amberlie and Augustus Dickerson, and River Wright. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Polly Ann Cantrell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hunter and Janice Richardson, and her husband, Kenneth Cantrell.
Visitation will be Sunday evening, September 16, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hurst's Fielder-Baker Funeral Home in Farmersville. Services will also be held in the Chapel on Monday, September 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Stoney Point Cemetery in Anna, Texas.
