Daniel “Dan” Robert Thompson of McKinney, Texas passed away on October 5, 2021 at the age of 47. He was born on June 12, 1974 to Frederick Wade and Marlene Lucile (Rosenquist) Thompson in Tacoma, Washington. Dan grew up in Tacoma, Washington and graduated from Bethel High School in 1992. He enlisted in the United States Navy as a submariner and served from April 3, 1995 – April 7, 2004 and was honorably discharged. Dan married Sylvie Grilli on September 9, 2000 in Paris, France. He was an engineer with Boeing. Dan enjoyed working on and restoring cars. He also enjoyed cycling, loved Coca-Cola, was an avid reader, and enjoyed watching hockey.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvie Thompson of McKinney, Texas; children, Rebekah Elisabeth Rich of Puyallup, Washington, Nicola André Thompson of McKinney, Texas, and Lorelai Juliana Thompson of McKinney, Texas; grandchild, Sawyer Vivviann Young-Rich; parents, Marlene and Fred Thompson of Spanaway, Washington; brother, Jeff Thompson and wife, Karen of Tacoma, Washington; sister, Sandra David and her husband, Michael of Dallas, Oregon; and numerous other loving family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
