Daniel Gene Hoff passed away on May 16, 2022, in McKinney, Texas, after a long battle with ALS. He was 79 years old. Dan was born June 7, 1942, to Francis Daniel Hoff and Geneva (Balay) in Joplin, Missouri. He grew up in Seneca, Missouri, and was a graduate of Seneca High School. Dan recently celebrated his 60th wedding anniversary to the love of his life, Patricia (Thomazin). He worked for many years in telecommunications, retiring in 1998.
Dan was passionate about his faith, family, and friends, and most enjoyed fishing, scuba diving, volunteering with many groups, and traveling the globe. He was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church, ROMEO CLUB men’s organization, and numerous other groups, including his much-loved Breakfast Boys.
Dan is survived by his wife, Patricia Hoff of McKinney, Texas; two daughters: Teri Mills-Manuel (Lindy Manuel) and Kristen Christopher (Clay); seven grandchildren: Toby, Dustin, Grant, Preston, Cole, Emma, and Briggs; sister, Linda Rogers; brother, John Hoff (Sylvia); and many loving family and friends.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Wanda Bates.
Services will be held in Seneca, Missouri in the fall. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the ALS Foundation.
