Daniel Joseph Ottosen

Daniel Joseph Ottosen, age 69, passed away on October 27, 2025, in Katy, Texas.  He was born on September 27, 1956, in Houston, Texas, to his loving parents Donald Frederick Ottosen and Dorothea Celine (Harrington) Ottosen.

Daniel grew up in the Houston area and graduated from James Madison High School with the Class of 1974. During his school years, Daniel played football, later became a cheerleader. He went on to attend Sam Houston State University, where he majored in Business and was a proud member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. He enjoyed tennis, golf, flying airplanes and traveling.

Daniel met the love of his life, Bonnie Lee Denisoff, and on November 15, 1986, they were married in Dallas, Texas. Together, Daniel and Bonnie built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and shared adventures. They made their home in Allen where Daniel enjoyed a successful career in pharmaceuticals. 

Daniel is survived by his daughter, Lyndsay Danielle Baumann (Bryan), grandsons, Booker and Knox Baumann of Katy, Texas; sisters, Dona Lynn Grygar (Norbert) of Temple, Texas, Denise Ottosen-Lede of Italy, and Dee Anne Van Houten (Jerry) of Indian Trail, North Carolina; brothers, Donald Steven Ottosen (Alice) of Sugarland, Texas, and Douglas Ottosen (Madelene) of Clear Lake, Texas; girlfriend, Cathy Morris; and a host of extended family members and friends, who will forever cherish his memory.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Dorothea Ottosen, and his beloved wife, Bonnie Lee Ottosen. 

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The service will also be live streamed at the following link: https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/daniel-joseph-ottosen?preview=69060b42d6abb2706f40632f. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location.  Following the funeral, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service.  

The family will receive guests during a visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m, prior to the funeral service.
