Daniel Costilla of Parker, Texas passed away July 25, 2014 at the age of 66. He was born October 30, 1947 to Frank Costilla and Dominga (Gonzales) Costilla in Brownwood, Texas. Daniel married Cynthia Walker on April 29, 1972 in Dallas, Texas. He had an abiding faith in God and was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Wylie, Texas. Daniel was a loving husband, outstanding father, extremely hard worker, and was a blessing to us all. His ultimate love was being a grandfather.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Cynthia Costilla of Parker, Texas; sons, Daniel Costilla, Jr. and wife Becca of Dallas, Texas and Ramón Costilla of The Colony, Texas; daughter, Maya María Katzman and husband Jeff in Wylie, Texas; grandchildren, Jeffrey Katzman, Alexandra Katzman, and Parker Katzman, all of Wylie, Texas, Daniel Cristiano Costilla and Bianca Winter Costilla of Dallas, Texas; brothers, Frank Costilla and wife Rebecca, and David Costilla and fiancée Amelia of Brownwood, Texas; and sisters, Virginia Martínez and husband Lorenzo of San Antonio, Texas and Gloria Ballejo and husband Daniel of Brownwood, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Dominga Costilla and several aunts and uncles.
A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 404 North Ballard Avenue, Wylie, Texas 75098. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation Monday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. The rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m.
