Dan Michael Miller

Our beloved Dan Michael Miller, also greatly known as Dad Dan, of League City, Texas passed away on January 15, 2021 at the age of 72. After years of battling dementia, he has finally arrived in his eternal home.

Dan was born on April 28, 1948 in Clinton, Missouri to Robert Lynn Miller and Barbara Elaine (Dehn) Miller. He graduated from Frisco High School in 1966 and got his bachelor’s degree from North Texas University in 1970. He married his high school love, Sherry Lynn McRay on October 21, 1966 and had four beautiful daughters. He worked his way up to become CFO of General Electric and Ericsson Inc for 36 years combined, which allowed him and his family to experience many states and countries.

Dan enjoyed life to the fullest. His love of boating, fishing, and entertaining brought him great joy.

Dan is survived by his children, Cyndi Miller Carlton of Carrollton, Texas, Dana and husband, Tony Brigman of Wilmington, North Carolina, Kimberly and husband, Jason Higgins of The Colony, Texas, Amy and husband, Scott Posti of Manassas, Virginia; grandchildren Kayli, McKenna, Morgan, Reagan, Aodhan, Maya, Riley, and Sullivan; sister, Barbara and husband, Michael Mason of Santa Fe, New Mexico; brother-in-law Philip E. Grubbs of Plano, Texas; and numerous other loving family and friends.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Elaine Miller; wife, Sherry Miller; sister Sandy Grubbs.

In support of our local, state, and federal govt including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, only a limited number of guests will be allowed to attend the Funeral Service.
