Daniel Ray “Dan” Feller of Parker, Texas, passed away on February 7, 2026, at the age of 77, after a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on June 30, 1948, in El Dorado, Kansas, to Wendell Leroy Feller and Mary Jane (Mulvaney) Feller.
Dan played many sports in high school and earned a college basketball scholarship. After graduating from college, he married his love of his life, DeWayna June Arterburn, on June 13, 1969, in El Dorado, Kansas. After their marriage, Dan and Dee moved to Kansas City, where he began a long and successful career with Fina Oil & Chemical, which he continued until his retirement at age 59. During his tenure at Fina, Dan traveled the world, participated in memorable events, played golf whenever he could, and formed many cherished friendships.
Throughout his life, Dan was the rock of his family. He gave with all of his heart and deeply valued the time spent with his loved ones and friends. He especially loved playing golf, reading biographies of powerful and influential people, relaxing at home, and vacationing with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Whether he was watching TV in his favorite chair or planning the next trip, he was happiest when he was with his family. Known by many nicknames over the years—including Leroy, Legend, Grandad, and Thunder—Dan made a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Raised in the Catholic faith and educated in Catholic schools, Dan was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen, Texas.
Dan is survived by his wife, Dee Feller of Parker, Texas; his son, Jason Feller and wife, Kathy, of McKinney, Texas; his son, Christopher Feller of Parker, Texas; and his grandchildren, Mason Daniel Feller, Alexandra Elizabeth Feller, Sydney Marie Feller, Makenna Quinn Feller, and Ryland Cole Feller. He is also survived by his siblings, Steve (Bonni) Feller of Kansas City, Missouri; Theresa Wick of Yankton, South Dakota; Tom (Pam) Feller of Wichita, Kansas; Tim Feller of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Sally (Lonnie) Owens of El Dorado, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Kelly Wick.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
The family will receive guests for a visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday evening at the funeral home.
