Dan Greer Dowell, age 47, of Lucas, Texas, passed away September 20, 2009, in Lucas. Dan was born August 9, 1962 in Dallas, Texas, to James Greer and Mary Dowell. Dan married Sheree Lane on May 1, 1993 in Dallas, Texas. He was self employed, managing and owning his own rental properties. Dan loved woodworking, Texas Tech University, ham radios, and his dogs. He especially loved his wife and daughter, Kelli. Dan was also active in his church, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in McKinney, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Sheree Dowell of Lucas, Texas; daughter, Kelli Dowell, also of Lucas; mother, Mary Dowell of Bullard, Texas; sister, Julie Dowell, also of Bullard; and a host of other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, James Greer Dowell. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, September 25, 2009, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in McKinney, Texas with Canon Rob Smith, Rev. Janice Auch, and Rev. Betty Breyfogle officiating. Interment will follow at Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney.
