Dalbert “Pete” Edward Riebel of Santa Fe, New Mexico passed away October 1, 2018 at the age of 91. He was born August 23, 1927 to Frederick Carl Riebel and Elizabeth (Becker) Riebel in Cincinnati, Ohio. Pete served is country proudly in the United States Army when he was deployed to Italy. He married Charleen Bertha on August 27, 1949 in Cincinnati. Pete earned his bachelors of art from University of Cincinnati. He worked in real estate for Electronic Data Systems, E.D.S. Pete was a devoted Methodist.
He is survived by his son, Rob Riebel and wife, Kristin of Santa Fe, New Mexico; daughter, Leslie Kay Weaver and husband, Terry of Gunter, Texas; and son, Peter Riebel of St. Cloud, Florida; grandchildren, Matthew Weaver, Kara Cross and husband, Bo, Taylor Riebel and Peter Riebel; great-grandchildren, Cody, Landon and Caleb.
Pete was preceded in death by his wife, Charleen Riebel; parents, Frederick and Elizabeth Riebel; and son, Dale Allen Riebel.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 8, 2018 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. Interment with Military Honors will follow at 2:30 p.m., at Mount Vernon City Cemetery, Highway 67 East, Mount Vernon, Texas 75457. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Sunday to pay their respects and to sign the register book.
