Dale Selfridge, age 72, of Allen, Texas, passed away January 30, 2012, in Richardson, Texas. He was born November 22, 1939, in Sasakwa, Oklahoma, to James Thomas and Lillie Mae (Hawkins) Selfridge. On July 16, 1965, Dale married Carrie Figgins, in Amarillo, Texas. He was a member of the Old 300 Colony, Sons of the American Revolution, Sons of the Republic of Texas, and was a 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner. Dale was a member of First United Methodist Church in Allen. He is survived by his wife, Carrie Selfridge of Allen, Texas; daughter, Cristie Liles and husband Parker of Highland Village, Texas; grandson, Jake Liles of Highland Village, Texas; sisters, Chersie Davis and husband David of Allen, Texas, Mildred Churchman of Spanaway, Washington, and Juanita Williams of Enid, Oklahoma ; a host of other loving family and friends. Dale is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bill Selfridge and J.T. Selfridge; and sister, Naomi Wheless. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, February 2, 2012, at First United Methodist Church in Allen, Texas, with a reception to follow.
