Dale Lee Alger, age 83, of Fairview, Texas, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2022, in Allen, Texas. He was born in Moline, Illinois on July 13, 1939 to Raymond and Irene (VanderVeen) Alger. Dale married Mona Miller in Grand Rapids, Michigan on June 26, 1965 and enjoyed 57 beautiful years spent together. He was a graduate of Central Michigan University where he earned his Associates Degree. Dale proudly served his country in the United States Navy and as a Corpsman in the United State Marine Corp. He worked in construction management with Steak & Ale, Bennigans, and Dave & Busters and formed CMU Construction Management Unlimited. Dale attended Creekwood Methodist Church in Fairview, Texas.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mona Alger of Fairview, Texas; sons and daughters-in-law, Wade & Diana Alger of Richmond, Virginia and Marc and Eileen Alger of Dallas, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Tara and Darren Hardy of Lake City, Colorado; grandchildren, Tess Alger, Bennett Alger, Morgan Hardy, Caleb Hardy, Grace Alger, Riley Alger and Max Alger; and by numerous other beloved relatives and friends. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Irene Alger and sister, Karen Alger.
A family visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. A graveside service will be held later in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
