Cynthia Lukas Fortier of Allen, Texas passed away June 16, 2026, at the age of 78. She was born to Henry Jerome and Mary Neysa (Deaver) Lukas on November 13, 1947, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Cynthia attended Haltom High School and graduated from Texas Wesleyan University. She worked for the State of Texas as a Tax Fraud Auditor. Cynthia was an avid baseball fan, a traveler of the world, and a collector of coins and stamps. She was active in numerous charities throughout her life. Cynthia spent her life dedicated to helping others in need. She had a deep love of animals and enjoyed many years with her beloved dogs. Her greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter, Samantha Stetsenko and husband, Denis of Allen, Texas; son, Martin Fortier of Denison, Texas; her beloved grandchildren, Henry and Arthur Stetsenko; brother, Jerry Lukas and wife, Linda; niece, Tammy Labhart and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband and travel partner Gary Fortier. They were married on March 16, 1974, and enjoyed many years together.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.

The family will receive guests for a visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday, July 6, 2026, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
