Curtis Allen McGee of Allen, Texas passed away on September 17, 2021, at the age of 53. He was born on July 2, 1968 to Raymond Hugh McGee and Shirley Ann (Underwood) McGee in Amarillo, Texas. Curtis graduated from Childress High School in 1986. After graduating, he took the opportunity to travel the world. Curtis traveled, working different jobs in a vast array of skill sets. Eventually, he went to school at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. It was at the university that he met his wife, Brenna. Curtis married Brenna L. Morgan on October 4, 1997 at the Custer Road United Methodist Church in Plano, Texas, where they continued to attend church. He was a Master Mason and was one year shy of being a Worshipful Mason, like his father and grandfather. Curtis enjoyed gathering with his family and getting together with friends. He loved making plans and going on adventures. His favorite city to enjoy and explore was New Orleans, Louisiana. Curtis especially enjoyed going to The Cabin in Oklahoma, sitting on the deck, looking at the lake and enjoying his family’s company. Morgan-McGee of Allen, Texas; daughter, Madison Erin McGee of Allen, Texas; son, Connor Michael McGee of Allen, Texas; father, Raymond Hugh McGee of Childress, Texas; brothers, Chris Eugene McGee and wife, Nicole Lea of Decatur, Texas and Ricky Lyn McGee and wife, Abigail of Childress, Texas; nieces and nephews, Morgan, Steven, Dylan, Tyler and Jaklyn; father-in-law, Robert William Morgan and wife, Pamela Ann of Plano, Texas; brothers-in-law, Robert William Morgan, II and wife, Sarah Elizabeth of Bella Vista, Arkansas and Jeffrey Ryan Morgan and wife, Katie Lynn of Spring, Texas; nieces and nephews, Will, Grace, Avery and Ryan; and his dog friends, Susie and Bella.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Ann McGee.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 27, 2021 at Custer Road United Methodist Church, 6601 Custer Road, Plano, Texas 75023.
