Cpl. Gregory S. Schneider, age 25, of Fairview, Texas passed away May 31, 2010, in Dallas, Texas. He was born August 9, 1984, in Dallas to Don and Debbie (Hankins) Schneider. Cpl Schneider proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. For his service, Cpl. Schneider earned the Combat Action Ribbon, Humanitarian Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, a Navy Unit Commendation and a Certificate of Appreciation. Following his service in the Marine Corps, he became a construction environmental inspector. Cpl. Schneider is survived by his parents, Don and Debbie Schneider of Fairview; sister and brother-in-law, Rebekka and Benjamin Walsh of Dallas; grandparents, Joe and Gail Schneider of Brushy Creek, Texas; uncles and aunts, Tom and Monette Schneider of Plano, Texas, Jerry and Robyn Schneider of McKinney, Texas and David and Connie Hankins of Carrollton, Texas and Pat Bogard of Allen, Texas. His grandparents, John and Juanita Hankins preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 7, 2010, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Sunday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation Sunday evening from 5:00-7:30 p.m. Interment with Marine Corps Honors will be held at 1:45 p.m., Monday at the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery.
